Jan Ray for Tomo Fujita

Bass and Gain cut with more headroom,

Tomo Fujita signature!

The Tomo Fujita signature model is based on the Jan Ray with a little tweak where Tomo wanted to cut the gain and the bass frequency.

-Having the Bass and the Treble at noon will allow you to obtain Tomo’s standard tone.

-Compared to the normal Jan Ray, the gain is lowered.

-Made it a little brighter to achieve more clarity to the tone.

Tomo Fujita Bio

Tomo Fujita possesses all the elements of great musicianship: astounding technical ability, flawless rhythm skills, and a total command of his instrument. But if asked, Tomo would tell you that music is not just about playing. It’s about feeling. He has a remarkable ability to inject emotion into every phrase he plays, whether the style is blues, jazz, funk or rock.

Tomo earned a degree at Berklee College of Music and has been a faculty member at Berklee since 1993. Perhaps the most famous of his former Berklee students are Soulive guitarist Eric Krasno (Kraz) and John Mayer. Tomo is also affiliated with the major music schools in his native Japan. His articles have been published in the Japanese magazines Jazz Life and Jazz Guitar, and he is a regular contributor to the Japanese edition of Guitar Magazine. His instructional materials are very popular in Japan, where guitar players have bought more than 90,000 copies of his videos and books.

Tomo Fujita Comment

I believe a good tone is going through your guitar straight into your amp.

But, you will need to crank up your amp to achieve a natural crunch tone.

That is why many guitar players use pedals to help them obtain the sound.  I personally enjoy the VEMURAM Jan Ray.

The Jan Ray lets you keep the tone of the amp and guitar while giving you that extra push to it.  I need a lot of dynamics for my picking tone, so we modified it countlessly to achieve more touch sensitive response for the volume, added more high-end, and cut the bass frequency.  This will allow you to freely express your tone. I am very grateful to be able to accomplish the Jan Ray-TF MOD.

Thank you!
